Terms of Use

Last updated: 27 August 2026

1. Your agreement

By downloading or using PDF Merge (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.

These terms are between you and the App’s developer (referred to as “we” or “us” below). Apple is not a party to these terms.

2. License to use the App

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on any iPhone that you own or control, as allowed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

You may not:

  • Copy, distribute, sublicense, or resell the App.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Rent, lease, or transfer the App to any third party.
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or attribution notices.

3. Pro subscriptions and one-time purchase

PDF Merge is free to download and includes a free tier limited to merging two PDFs per session. Upgrading to PDF Merge Pro removes that limit.

Pro is available as a weekly subscription, a yearly subscription (with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers), or a one-time lifetime purchase.

Billing

All subscription and one-time purchase billing is handled by Apple through your Apple ID. Prices are charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Cancellation and refunds

You can turn off auto-renewal or cancel a subscription at any time by going to Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple’s refund policy at support.apple.com/HT204084.

Free trial

If you cancel the yearly Pro subscription before the free trial ends, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel, the subscription will convert to a paid annual subscription at the price shown at purchase.

4. Apple’s standard EULA

The App is licensed to you under Apple’s standard end-user license agreement (EULA), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where these Terms of Use and Apple’s EULA differ, Apple’s EULA governs.

Under that EULA, Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance and support services with respect to the App. Any claims relating to the possession or use of the App should be directed to us, not to Apple.

5. Your content stays yours

PDF Merge processes your files entirely on your device. You retain all rights to the PDFs you import and to the merged output files you produce. We claim no ownership, license, or right of use over your content, and we do not receive, host, or store your content at any time. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App:

  • To violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • To infringe on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others (for example, merging or redistributing copyrighted PDFs you don’t have permission to reproduce).
  • To create or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

You are solely responsible for the files you process with the App and how you use the resulting output.

7. No warranty

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the App will meet your specific requirements.

We strongly recommend keeping backup copies of any important PDFs before editing them in any app — including this one.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ten US dollars, whichever is greater.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we’ll do our best to flag it in the App’s release notes.

Your continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
